The desk currently quotes block trades from $25,000 notional, and the engine enforces that minimum rather than leaving it to the desk — a smaller block is refused with the current threshold quoted back to you. Below that size the ordinary spot book is the right venue, and for most pairs it is also the cheaper one.
How does the Bicoince OTC desk price a trade?
It is quote-driven rather than an order book. You request a price for a specific size, the desk returns a firm quote that is good for a short window, and you either accept it inside that window or it expires and you ask again. Because the price is fixed before you accept, the size you asked for is the size you get at the price you saw.
What programmatic access do institutional clients get?
REST and WebSocket APIs with HMAC-signed keys, order-rate tiers, and feature parity with the trading interface — anything you can do by hand you can do by API. Keys are scoped, so a read-only integration for reporting does not have to carry trading rights.
